This is such a true to life shot of these swallows. They're such fun-loving birds who relish one another's company. They used to nest right in front of our house and were very entertaining to watch but.. hard to photograph. Great wing shot and I love the story it tells too, Yves.

Thanks for the nice comment Heather. When they fly over water to capture insects they are too fast and I don't even try to shoot them. So I usualy do my action shots in front of a birds box or when they have fun all together like this because they fly staying in a small zone.

Nice depth of field, so one is in focus, the others slightly out of focus. Not easy!!

Thank you Jane. Since they were prety far away I was surprise that the ones in the back were not in focus too (I am set to F11)

Doing bird in flight shots with tree swallow is someting I do do any more (too hard to do). But once n a while there are some opportunity (like this one)
